The head of this Saxony ducks is shaped and blends smoothly. They have a moderate thick neck that is slightly arched.
When relaxed, the Saxony duck’s carriage is 10-20 degrees above flat. The drakes’ colors are distinct from any other strain but display the Mallard design.

History
Albert Franz of Chemnitz originally created the strain. For creating this particular breed he cross-legged Blue Rouen Pomeranian and German Pekin ducks. He tried to make a meat duck strain that has lighter feathers under and would mature in 10 weeks.
And this new generation was released by him. However during World War II, his original stock almost all was lost. So after the war, his breeding plan was renewed by Franz.
That this duck was recognized by Germany during 1957 as a different breed. And also the Saxony duck is called Sachsen Enten in Germany and called Le Canard de Saxe in France.
The breed was thought to be imported in Britain during the 1970s. Along with the ducks made their way into the United States when they were imported by the Holderred Waterfowl Farm.
The British Waterfowl Standards at 1980 known duck. And has been admitted to the American Poultry Association’s Standard of Perfection. Saxony duck’s amount is not too far in the USA.
There are a few hundred Saxony ducks from the United States, and the breed is about the Livestock Conservancy crucial listing for the USA. The Saxony ducks are mainly raised as a useful bird and good for increasing and showing as pets.
