Every farm’s story revolves around the same liquid – The Water. We are blessed to get at least 1.5 inches of water. Water is too scarce in this part of Karnataka. Rainfalls are rare, even if it happens it doesn’t fill any lakes.
I still remember my Mom used to say, “Rain doesn’t come if we call, but if Trees call it will surely come“. Well, She is right as always. We have cut every tree in this region, to make more agricultural land. Yes, we got more free land to grow any crops, but gradually the rains decreased and now it’s no more.

I am planting 15% of forest trees on my farm, yes it’s of no use for the rest of life commercially. But they definitely give a lot of oxygen, more of shade, abundant cool breeze and finally helping me to bring Rain to the farm. We can’t measure everything with money. In the below image we can see people [all the skeptics who do not believe in Natural farming, lucky to have them in one frame 🙂 ] working on the electric board to make the water pump to work.
Week 3 is full of finding a point to drill a hole. Finally, we got water, but it’s not sufficient for our 2.5 acres of land. But its more than sufficient for forest trees and horticulture crops through a drip.

Well, I am truly blessed to witness the beautiful sunrise at my farm. In the coming years to come, I can see a lot more grown-up trees in front of the majestic sun.
