Khillari cattle breed

The Khillari cows are a draught breed of cows native to Satara, Kolhapur and Sangli regions in Bijapur and Maharashtra, Dharwad and Belgaum districts of Karnataka in India.

It is of Bos indicus sub-species and is well adapted to drought conditions that are vulnerable and the tropical of this area.

Most varieties of the Khillari cattle possess a long slender head with long horns. Their horns tapering to a fine line, and are coming back and then upward in a distinctive bow. Their coat is short, nice, and glossy and the ears are small and light yellow indoors.
