The Nimari cattle are a strain of domestic cattle that are native to the Nimar area of India. It’s a breed and great for milk production.
It was developed in the Gir and Khillari cattle. Currently, the breed found in the Jalgaon area in Maharashtra and also is chiefly found in the state of Madhya Pradesh in the areas of Narmada valley.
There is a strain of cattle from the Satpura ranges of Madhya Pradesh that’s significantly smaller in size but quite much like this Nimari. Along with this, the Khamgaon breed found in Berar could be the offshoot of their Nimari cattle.
Nimari cattle breed information
