Precise roots of this White Fulani cattle continue to be unknown. However, there are lots of opinions about the origins of the cattle breed. Some people today state that ‘the White Fulani are really long-horned zebus’.
The view is on account of the look of the characteristics nature of skull and thoracic vertebrae, as well as a different hump in a newborn bull calf.
And according to other opinion’the breed generated from interbreeding first between the zebu and the Hamitic longhorn and/or shorthorn to result in a Sanga breed.
And interbreeding those Sanga with humped animals might have resulted in cows with lyre-shaped horns including the White Fulani.
All of the opinions are, that the White Fulani cattle are largely Zebu but of Sanga cattle origin.
Along with Red Fulani, cattle breeds and the White Fulani are quite separate. They are separate both at the source and in the locations.
